Secret SANTA

Even if it seems that pure joy is unquely behind the event of Secret SANTA, there is much more to it than that! While shrouded in the Christmas magic, Ro2D2 team discovered that this apparently common event is not only a simple "wait and see", but also a challenge for both the giver and the grantee! Hereby, Ro2D2 has got as far as rather loving the ones offering them gifts themselves! And this is what a rightful team should be based on!

Xmas PARTY

Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas. This celebration is a day of meaning and traditions, a special day spent in the warm circle of friends, therefore, amazingly perfect to spend amoung the Ro2D2 members!

After having assessed their robot for already plenty of times, Ro2D2 gave a tryout to time itself. They brought all their ponderous objects together, of course, after choosing them from the endless boatload of both real things and true feelings! After putting them together in a chest, they buried it and left it within the discretion of time...how long?...100 years! The team strongly wishes that their loved objects will provide a glance to their present time and activity, arising emotions such as amazement, curiosity, happiness... Our sovereign, the TIME, will tell!

The 1st of December proved to be a good opportunity for Ro2D2 to canvass the future together, of course, while sipping some hot, flavoured tea. Teachers and entrepreneurs have also responded affirmatively to our invitation to join us throughout this ambitious journey. We asked questions we would, otherwise, stammer to talk out loud about. All in one voice, we weighed the gravity of the issues future might lay ahead; the future as some daring teenagers may portray...In brief, Ro2D2 discussed about the unrest of next generations, who, we hope, will be more focused on BEING, rather than on HAVING!

Zeit fur die Jugendlichen - German Language Non-Formal Workshop

Although a German language workshop might seem quite common, Ro2D2 vows that the one they organized was...OFFBEAT! Apart from linguistical knowledge, the participants to this event learnt how to forge friendships, of course, while spending their free time in a highly amusing way! 

"Begone the Raggedy Witches!" (Book Release)

1st of December,2018, 17.00-18.00

When magic gets in wrong hands, we are one step away from losing everything! All the guests of our event got to hear about a dark and lukewarm forest, full of witty and unyielding witches, and about Mup - an unusually brave heroine. All this happened during the release of ~Begone the Raggedy Witches!" by Celine Kiernan. Moreover, Ro2D2 gave the chance to the most sincere bibliophiles to meet their loved BookTubers: Tea-Tea scrie ;i cite;te, :tefania Claudia -Biblioteca :tefaniei, Andi - Biblioteca lui Andi.

DinoLand - A trip through the astonishing science of dinosaurs

Just as the title suggests, Ro2D2 hitched a ride through the world of dinosaurs...alongside some of the most famous and creative members of the young generation of BookTubers and of Corint Publisher. All our guests witnessed an inspirational experience led by Andi, a 9-years-old boy, one the youngest Romanian BookTubers, by Tea, who, at only 12 years, organizes a reading workshop - "Reading is Kooool" - and by :tefi, the first Romanian booktuber. 

The R(OBOT) era - create, inspire, stimulate!

The workshop was an invitation for children to get to know the fascinating world of robotics: we built small robots together and we witnessed a test drive of Ro2D2. 

To have or not to have FUN - English Language Workshop

1st of December 2018, 14.00-15.00 

To be or not to be...funny! Puppet theater, crosswords, contests...and all these took place in the LEARN&PLAY English languageworkshop. The Usborne Publishing House has also joined us, along with plenty of books craving to be bought, at incredibly low prices!

ROMANIA - 100 sheets of annual stories...

1st of December, 2018, 13.00-14.00

A reading marathon through which we discovered new people, along with their destinies, their deeds and their stories. Ro2D2, along with its guests, traced history through storytelling. The booktuber Tea scrie și citește has got the public's attention while successfully presenting the book "Romînia - 100 Years in a Story File” appeared under tutelage of Niculescu Publisher. The "Oak Leaf" Association, from the city of Plopeni, concluded the event and taught everyone in the room the secrets of making their own puppy, of course, while using the Romanian flag's colors. 

The Magic of Science - Distraction and Reaction through Experiments

It seems that, for the smart children participating in this event, the science-appeal is no longer a secret. They regarded the world differently, this time, through a real microscope, they built electrical circuits, and discovered the way light propagates. It was science, not witchcraft!

Who's afraid of stories? - A Puppet Show

It does not take much to experience the magic of flipping the pages of a good book. The magic becomes even more intense while being under the spell of puppets' stories...A workshop where the story was created live and where the participants have, told-free, turned into directors, puppeteers, actors, storytellers, scriptwriters.

Culture and Science within no Boundaries - Frech language Workshop

Culture and science have no borders - a French workshop on the Parisian life of Romanian intellectuals such as: Constantin Brâncuși, George Enescu, Henri Coandă, Emil Cioran and Eugene Ionesco...

Meet with Generation R(obot)

20th of November 2018, 16.00-18.00

A meeting with Generation R (obot), an event that brings together activities included in the European Week of Robotics Week # ERW2018.

The event took place in the central hall of "Mihai Viteazul" Ploiesti CN and was organized by the robotics teams participating in the FIRST Tech Challenge: BraveBots, ERcast, InfO1 Robotics, Ro2D2 and Lego robotics teams of "Mihai Viteazul" and NC "ILCaragiale": Cyberpower, The Rocketeers, Katz, InfOlRobotics Junior and iRobot.

Our guests were the students from Mizil High School Gimnazial School "Grigore Moisil" Ploiesti, "Emil Palade" Ploiesti Gymnasium School participants in the ROBOT Drawing (3D) Contest ". At this event I have exhibited the original works at the contest.

Juniors from LEGO League have demonstrated how inspiring passion for STEM robotics and education is.

It's time to get excited about ROBOTS!

Ro2D2 team met with children participating at summer C++ programming language courses held by Prichindelul Poliglot. 

Today, we were together with children who are passionate about technology and who wish to learn lots of new things. We showed them videos of FTC matches from last years and a few things about SOLIDWORKS.

We are happy about their involvement and the fascination that we saw on their faces.

We met with our friends and colleagues from BRAVEBOTS.

Today, we had the pleasure of meeting and talking to some of the frendliest and most open minded students: some members from the BRAVEBOTS team. They shared with us their thoughts and feelings about the experience they had in the last two years participating at FTC and they answerd all the questions we had.

With this occasion we grew closer and we are sure that there will be a beautifull friendship between Ro2D2 and BRAVEBOTS.
